Hi Todd and Cathy! I really enjoyed this episode of your podcast. I wish I had had 1/2 of Charlie’s wisdom when I was his age! It took me over 40 years to become vegan for many of the reasons Charlie stated. My husband and 11 year old daughter, Gracie, are also vegan. I had a thought to share about trying something new after a certain age. When Gracie said she wanted to quit piano lessons, I let her. But, instead of canceling the lessons, I took them over. Without the pressure of mastery, I’m free to just have fun. Taking piano lessons has opened me up to a whole side of music I never accessed before. I’ll probably never be great but I’ll be able to play the Peanuts Christmas songs by December and that’s okay with me. I also recently took a ceramics class for the first time in my life. I have a couple of ugly bowls to show for it and I will treasure them forever! Life is just better without the pressure to be great at everything. I’m okay with being great at one or two things. The rest is for fun. Thanks for all you do!
