Program Description:

Kids learn not by listening to what we say, but by watching how we live, so our ability to practice self-care and self-compassion are necessary for our own life joy, and also for teaching kids how to embrace joy and self-worth.

Our ability to be self-aware is essential as we engage with our kids and our partner, and our willingness to be conscious of our thoughts and choices leads to better communication and a more authentic family connection.

The tagline to our Zen Parenting Radio podcast, taken from Dr. Daniel Siegel, is “the best predictor of a child’s well-being is a parents self-understanding”. Parenting is an opportunity to recognize our ingrained patterns, our history, and the choices we make as we engage with our kids and all the people we love.

In this workshop you will:

  • Learn more about self-awareness and mindfulness and how to practice on an everyday basis-
  • Explore how to be more compassionate toward yourself, your kids, and your partner
  • Learn why connection is an essential parenting skill and why making it a priority leads to more harmonious relationships
  • Practice using reflective and respectful discourse to decrease negativity and create a calmer and more connected home
  • Learn how to navigate difficult discussions such as sex, drugs+alcohol, anxiety, and screen time

Why attend:

  • Deepen your relationship with yourself, your kids, and your partner
  • Develop new tools to strengthen your parenting and your partnership
  • Develop communication skills to increase awareness and connection in the home
