Event Details

The news is telling us that our sons are in the midst of a mental health crisis, and that sadness and anxiety are becoming their norm. As a parent this can feel overwhelming, but we can learn new ways to show up and listen. We can become more aware of our sons’ emotional and mental experiences and find ways to connect and support.

In this 90-minute discussion (with 30 minutes for Q&A) with Todd & Dr. John Duffy we will discuss the life of a teenage son, why and when they feel pressure, and what we can do to help them sort through what’s difficult and figure out what’s working.

This event will be co-hosted by Dr. John Duffy. John is a clinical psychologist, certified life coach, author, and speaker based in Chicago, Illinois. He received his Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology.

Dr. Duffy has over 20 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families, and has appeared as a guest expert on various media outlets including CNN, NPR, and The Today Show. He is the author of several books, including “The Available Parent: Radical Optimism for Raising Teens and Tweens,” “Parenting the New Teen in the Age of Anxiety.

In addition to his clinical work and writing, Dr. Duffy is a sought-after speaker and consultant on a variety of topics related to mental health, parenting, and relationships.
